Off to Sydney
Tomorrow morning I am off to Sydney. It will seem quite strange to be heading of by myself. Despite this, I think I am looking forward to it. I shall let you know how it goes...

new city...new friends
One of the really lovely things about moving is that it does give you the chance to meet and make new friends. Hobart seems to be full of really creative and interesting people. I don't quite know exactly why this is, apart from the pull of the beautiful physical environment or perhaps the other artistic and interesting types living around the capital of the Island state. It sure isn't for the weather!! (I think I will seriously need to update my winter wardrobe after moving further south as my northern island attire isn't quite cutting it when it comes to "wind chill" factor!)
But it has been so enjoyable to make new friends and to have the chance to link up with old ones again. I must say though that I enjoy the creative vibrancy that is around and generally that makes for a pretty good vibe. Now if only I could have my garden, house and old neighbours and dear friends back, things would be just about perfect...

Clarification needed...
I must confess that you probably realise the photo from my last post was not actually in Hobart, but taken somewhere presumably in the highlands last week. Here are some actual photos we have taken from around Hobart in the last week.
It is crazily cold down here, but on the upside it is also quite awe inspiringly beautiful...
